MAL CLARKE
THE MAN, THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND, AND DONATIONS
About Mal Clarke:
Mal Clarke is a tennis legend who was a 30-year Maine Pines member. Mal was playing tennis three times a week right up until his death at age 96.
At the age of 95, Clarke traveled to Florida to play in the Seniors Tennis Classic Tournament in Orlando, a more social tournament.
As a founding member of Maine Pines in Brunswick, he is remembered by several people as, “A very, very talented guy with a racket. He had quick hands, a terrific half-volley, and an even better drop shot. He also had great court sense, always positioning himself to maximize his chances to put away any ball coming his way.”
